An update on Home Based Care
"We were
struck by the absolute civil disaster that is quietly happening in the area" Mr. Botes, HBC co-ordinator, remarked after a recent visit to DFL's new HBC base in Deemount, KZN. 4 American volunteers are involved currently at work in this area with Home Based Care, orphan care and also some construction work on the base....[more]

Should Cloning be Restricted?
“Why not lift the ban on all research into cloning – including humans – and see what happens? Let’s run the social experiment and analyze the data… In the borderlands between science and pseudoscience, the best method to determine which fuzzy category a claim belongs is to test it. Cloning, the next holocaust?
Reports of scientists combining human and dog genes, glow-in-the-dark monkeys and other distortions of life are cause for concern. Scientific knowledge is developed through trial and error. However, if trials produce errors that are disfigured humans, destined to short and painful lives, has experimentation gone too far? It will not be the doctors, scientist or bio-ethicists, but the general public and their opinion that will ultimately determine government policy and law on these issues. ...[more]

The Construction of DFL's First Medical Clinic..
By God's grace DFL's division 'Aid to Africa' has shown tremendous growth within the last year; the purchase of a all terrain vehicle, the fist section of a mobile clinic and now the building of its first permanent clinic!. A team of 5 volunteers has recently started with the foundations for this clinic, which will be situated in Inhambane, a province in Mozambique.
