Constitutional Court case about constitutionality of Same Sex Marriages in SA.

A DFL team attended the Constitutional Court case on 17 May 2005 where the constitutionality of Same Sex Marriages was discussed. The 9 judges, lead by Chief Judge Langa, had access to DFL’s written submission while hearing the 5 advocates who represented the various parties involved in the case. Mr John Smyth, QC, also addressed the court in his personal capacity. DFL presented medical-socio evidence, gathered from internationally renowned experts, to the judges. DFL is of the opinion, based on these scientific studies, that same sex marriages should not be legalised in South Africa.

.
Dr Bola Omoniyi was interviewed by several media representatives during the court breaks.
